Administrators on Meta are users who are able to perform janitorial tasks, such as protecting/unprotecting pages, blocking and unblocking users and deleting/undeleting pages, among other things.

Appointment[edit | edit source]

Meta administrators are nominated by stewards or by already appointed administrators. Nominations are confirmed if the request meets the following requirements:

  • A 75% or higher support rate from users is met, and;
  • 7 days has passed since the request was made.

Revocation[edit | edit source]

Any user may initiate a revocation request against an administrator. A revocation request is considered successful if the request meets the following requirements:

  • A 60% or higher support rate from users is met, and;
  • 7 days has passed since the request was made.

Steward revocation[edit | edit source]

A steward may remove administrator at any time if the administrator has been;

  • Inactive for 3 months (90 days);
  • Not performing any sysop actions within 6 months (180 days);
  • Abuse of administrator tools, and;
  • Violating any global policies, such as User Conduct Policy.
