These Terms are an agreement between you and the operators of WikiOasis, the WikiOasis Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “WikiOasis”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By using any WikiOasis service, including any wiki hosted by WikiOasis, you agree to these Terms. The Services refer to the collection of websites, platforms, and tools hosted by WikiOasis.

Applicable Law and Courts

These Terms shall be governed by the federal laws of the United States. If federal law does not apply to a particular issue, the state law of Wyoming shall govern. Any dispute shall be resolved through the Wyoming District Court and applicable appellate courts.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, with or without prior notice. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. WikiOasis reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any user or wiki found in violation of these Terms or other applicable policies.

Other Policies

Your use of the Services is also governed by additional policies, including but not limited to:

  • Privacy Policy: How we collect, use, and protect personal data
  • Global Conduct Policy: Sets behavioral expectations for contributors, administrators, and readers across all wikis.
  • Child Users Policy: Outlines how we handle data and participation by minors
  • Community Safety Policy: Defines protections against harassment, abuse, threats, or any form of hate perceived as bullying.

You agree to abide by all these policies when using our services.

Each wiki hosted by WikiOasis may select its own content license. However, by contributing content to any WikiOasis-hosted service, you grant WikiOasis an irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, distribute, and display that content. You represent and warrant that you own or have permission from the copyright holder to grant such rights. Fair use is a doctrine under United States copyright law that allows certain transformative uses. Fair use is permitted on WikiOasis, but is at your own risk. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services if you are found to have infringed on another copyright owner’s intellectual property.

Abuse

Do not:

  • Spam, vandalize, or otherwise disrupt the Services.
  • Engage in harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Misuse technical systems, including automated bots or scraping tools, without prior authorization.
  • Engage in undisclosed paid editing. If you are paid to contribute, you must disclose your employer, client, or affiliation on your user page or relevant discussion page.
