Brazilpedia is a collaborative initial project to create a virtual encyclopedia about the country Brazil, in South America, focused on its history, geography, society, and culture. The project seeks to organize and expand knowledge about Brazil in a structured and accessible way, with special attention to regional topics, local culture, and underrepresented subjects. Brazilpedia does not aim to replace existing encyclopedias such as Wikipédia, but to complement them by offering content centered on Brazil, with simplified language, thematic organization, and original materials such as maps, images, and thematic portals.

How it will work: The project will be developed by a small group of contributors responsible for structuring the base of topics, guidelines, and content for future users.
