This will be an inclusive wiki about tech, education, history, and personal interests. It is not designed to be the same as Wikipedia, since it will contain essays, outlines, and guides. The goal is to make a friendly, accessible educational resource that is accessible to students. It will combine features of sites such as Wikiversity and Encyc.org.

This wiki WILL NOT be a Wikipedia clone. I will not use bots to create a wiki with 100,000+ pages that would crash WikiOasis's servers.

This will not be a fork or duplicate of any other currently existing wiki.

From the beginning, I meant for this to be a completely original wiki. The main focuses will be on tech, philosophy, and other topics. I have diverse interests and just want them to be in a single place.

It is meant to be inclusive (as most WikiOasis wikis are) but is NOT meant to be a clone or fork of wikis that are currently online. Things like libel and copyright violations will be prohibited. All terms of use will be followed.

Hiya,

Thank you for reaching out. I'm just wondering what makes it "different" from Wikipedia, I understand it means you won't be copying the pages word for word, but if the goal is similar to that of Wikipedia, I feel you would be better simply contributing there.

Hiya Zippy, I'm going to be writing about topics that aren't notable enough for Wikipedia. They relate to my own interests that would not be suitable for Wikipedia, like personal essays, video games, my pets, and more. The goal is not the same as Wikipedia.
