Wikizuna is designed to be a more inclusive and flexible knowledge-sharing platform compared to Wikipedia. While Wikipedia has strict notability policies and a complex editing environment that can discourage new or niche contributions, Wikizuna aims to lower those barriers and support a wider range of well-researched content — including emerging topics, lesser-known individuals, and community-driven insights.

The goal is not to compete with Wikipedia, but to complement it by creating a space where valuable information that might not qualify for Wikipedia can still be documented, organized, and maintained responsibly. Wikizuna encourages collaboration, transparency, and learning, making it easier for contributors of all experience levels to participate meaningfully.

Per our content policy, wikis that duplicate content already hosted by WikiOasis are not permitted. What makes this wiki different than another site we already host, WikiGeniusWiki? (wikigenius.org)

Thank you for your response and for giving me the opportunity to clarify.

After reviewing WikiGeniusWiki, I noticed that it primarily focuses on creating promotional biographies of individuals, often aimed at generating Google Knowledge Panels. Many of the pages seem to be centered around self-promotion or paid content, as supported by public reports like this one:

Additionally, I found evidence that WikiGenius was previously hosted on Miraheze and was suspended there:

In contrast, Wikizuna is not intended for promotional use. It will serve as a community-driven, educational platform covering well-researched topics like biographies, companies, culture, technology, and history — with a strong focus on neutrality, sourcing, and long-term value.

Wikizuna is free to use, and open to contributions from around the world. The goal is to provide a safe, respectful space for users to document knowledge that may not meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines, but still holds educational and cultural value.

I fully respect and follow WikiOasis’s content policies and understand the importance of maintaining quality and integrity across hosted wikis. I’ll make sure Wikizuna remains within its approved scope and avoids any promotional or duplicate content.
