Sometimes, wikis stop being used for various reasons. Unfortunately, we can't keep wikis up forever - abandoned wikis consume resources that could be better used by thriving wikis, hence this policy governing them.

Exemptions
editWikis may be exempted from this policy at Steward discretion. Some reasons a wiki may need to be exempt from the Dormancy Policy are:
- The wiki has completely documented its subject and no longer needs to be edited
- The wiki's subject necessitates periodic rather than continual activity
- The wiki's primary contributors won't be able to edit the wiki for a long time
