Opt Out
Request your wiki to be opted out of the skin rollout if you wish to remain using Vector or Minerva as your default skin.
Wiki URL: https://freshwebsites.wikioasis.org
Reason (optional): All Netpedia wikis use the Vector skin for network-wide layout consistency. Tali64³ (talk) 15:21, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Approved. The rollout will not affect your wiki. Globe (talk) 15:25, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello everyone, I’m not sure if I’m in the right place on this page regarding the skin. I would like to keep Vector for my wiki because I find the design appealing and I can work well with it. I just tested the Citizen skin and noticed that editing the wiki on mobile devices causes problems. Best regards. Wulfrich Talk 09:21, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- Greetings Wulfrich! I have taken your wiki off the list for the rollout of Citizen. For the benefit of others, would you mind letting us know what issues you faced? Globe (talk) 10:08, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Globe, I am happy to respond to you for the benefit of the community. On the one hand, I had the problem that images were not displayed on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and my iPhone 12. In addition, it is difficult to fully load this skin on the screen. The browser I use is Safari. I had already thought about whether to set up a test wiki to try this out without using my own wiki. The Citizen design is certainly nice on tablets and PCs, but it’s difficult on mobile phones. I would be glad to help find a solution. However, I’ve also been using Vector for many years and am familiar with it from Wikipedia. Monobook is not unfamiliar to me either because of Wikipedia. But I prefer Vector. Greetings from Germany. - @Wulfrich I've tested Citizen on Mobile and find that compared to MinervaNeue it is a more user friendly skin, as it provides all the benefits of the desktop skin but scaled down for mobile. --zippybonzo (c • ca) 09:55, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Zippybonzo, thanks for the information. I’ll see how things develop. I had implemented it as a test, but it’s not so easy to manage on mobile devices. That’s why I removed it again. I’ll take another look at it once other wikis have implemented it. Regards. —Wulfrich Talk 11:01, 24 March 2025 (UTC)

Hello! May I opt out as well? My wiki is https://dreamindigo.wikioasis.org and the reason why I want to optout is that it took me a long time learning how to to write its Common.css and Vector.css so I'd like to keep Vector legacy and MinervaNeue. ✩ Dream Indigo ✩ 15:42, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
