This wiki will be an encyclopaedia for everything pertaining to the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, which started with the Nickelodeon animated series of the same name and has since expanded to include two spin-offs, one of which is no longer in production. The wiki's content will only be related to the franchise, including but not limited to characters, episodes, the cast and crew, music, books, and video games. SpongeBob SquarePants was created by the late Stephen Hillenburg and premiered on Nickelodeon on May 1st 1999. The show officially began a few months later on July 17th, is currently in its sixteenth season, and over 300 episodes have aired.

This wiki will be the new version of the Miraheze counterpart of Fandom's Encyclopedia SpongeBobia. Content from the Miraheze wiki, which was created on April 14th 2020, will be moved here and updated if necessary.
