When I was rambling off on discord about how a farm is measured by its response to crisis blah blah, this is precisely the sort of thing I meant, and it is not reassuring so far. Let the discussion be refactored accordingly. Or not. | |||

Additionally, I would like to tell you I was banned by Zippybonzo as I have "allegedly" shared some screenshots of a random conversation in the server with "someone", upon asking where those screenshots are from and to whom have I apparently sent them, I was told that it was from someone zippy trusted and it won't be revealed pursuant to nonpublic data policy. After receiving such reply I asked zippy if there was a way to appeal to the community, he replied in affirmation. I'm proposing temporarily removing Global administrator and Global renamer while the farm is smaller, as we don't need them and potentially never will need them, and it makes more sense to just have stewards performing global admin and renamer tasks. Greetings everyone I, TheAstorPastor, am writing this to appeal the ban that was recently imposed on me at the official Discord server by Zippybonzo. The ban was issued after I shared screenshots of a random conversation in the official Discord server, which I had no connection to.
Initially, I was banned without a clear explanation, and when I enquired about the reason, I was presented with two screenshots (which I have emailed to [email protected]; if allowed by the stewards, I would post them here too). Upon reviewing them, I clarified that it wasn’t me involved in the conversation but rather someone impersonating me using my profile picture and name. Despite my explanation, Zippybonzo remained unconvinced and stated that the screenshots came from a "trusted source."
I want to emphasize that I have maintained a good standing in various communities, including TestWiki. I acknowledge that I was previously banned from Wikipedia for sockpuppetry, a very serious mistake on my part. However, I also believe that my contributions there were valuable, and I plan to appeal to the Wikipedia community in November to rectify that situation.
I kindly request that you reconsider my ban from the Discord server of Wikioasis. I value being part of this community and would appreciate the opportunity to clarify any misunderstandings regarding this incident. Thank you for your time and consideration. Remove some groups while the farm is small scale edit edit source
I'm proposing temporarily removing Global administrator and Global renamer while the farm is smaller, as we don't need them and potentially never will need them, and it makes more sense to just have stewards performing global admin and renamer tasks. Zippybonzo (talk) 10:37, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
