Content Policy

More actions
The content policy is a global policy for all WikiOasis wikis. It describes the requirements and restrictions on content for our wikis.
Prohibited content
- Content or wikis that are prurient in nature. WikiOasis is not a pornography host, with no exceptions.
- Content or wikis that contain hate speech, terrorism, illegal content, or other acts of violence/harassment.
- Content or wikis that serve only to promote a business, sell products, or improve search engine optimization.
- Wikis that have no rules or leadership.
- Wikis that are a duplicate of a current WikiOasis wiki.
- Content or wikis that are deemed toxic or unsuitable.
- Wikis that wish to drastically change their scope must first gain the approval of a steward.
Required content
When requesting a wiki, you must provide us with an explanation of the purpose and scope of your wiki. Wiki ideas must be well thought out and comply with our policies. Our staff will verify this before approving or rejecting a wiki request.
Violations of this policy
- Individual violations are when a single page or a few pages may violate this policy. Stewards or local administrators will remove the content and punish the appropriate user(s).
- Full violations are when the entire scope of a wiki or a large amount of pages violate this policy. Stewards will review the wiki and contact local administrators to attempt to get violations corrected in most cases. If that fails, or there are extraordinary circumstances, the wiki may be closed, marked as deleted, or other actions may by taken against the wiki.
