It is supposed that this template will be used on the [[Requests for Comment/preload]] to help in the automatic categorisation of the RfC subpages.

== Usage ==

This template has only one parameter - {{para|status}} which is used to categorize the [[RfC]] subpages as follows:

# <code><nowiki>{{RfC|status=draft}}</nowiki></code>: puts the subpage into [[:Category:Draft Requests for Comment]] when the RfC is still being written.

# <code><nowiki>{{RfC|status=feedback}}</nowiki></code>: puts the subpage into [[:Category:Feedback Requests for Comment]].  In the feedback phase, the RfC is seeking feedback and public comments to improve it, but is not yet open for voting.

# <code><nowiki>{{RfC|status=voting}}</nowiki></code>: puts the subpage into [[:Category:Current Requests for Comment]], which are RfCs open for voting.  <code><nowiki>{{RfC|status=open}}</nowiki></code> is an alternate form of this.

# <code><nowiki>{{RfC|status=closed}}</nowiki></code>: puts the subpage into [[:Category:Closed Requests for Comment]] when a [[Stewards]] closes the RfC, or it is withdrawn by the author prior to the voting phase.
