Doc the Ham was started as a way to preserve the rich history of Birmingham, AL and its surrounding areas. It's welcome to everyone who wants to contribute and share their favorite stories, hangout spots, historical locations, and anything else that you think is worth remembering about the area. I saw another Birmingham wiki that has no activity and incorrect information. I've decided I would like to take a shot at running my own, hopefully growing to the point we can advertise and be useful to the community and visitors. I found you through the MediaWiki website and like how you operate. I've initiated my request and hope to begin my journey with you. I know together we can hopefully grow this wiki and the platform together. I also like knowing that you're recommended as a responsive hosting platform that supports its own. Thank you for your time and I hope to talk with you more as we grow!
