| WikiOasis values local autonomy whenever possible. However, the volunteers might work with local communities to prevent disruption, vandalism, and spam. Therefore:

| * Stewards and CVU may collaborate with local administration to prevent disruption.

| * A local bureaucrat may request to opt out of counter-vandalism intervention by application at [[Steward Requests]]. However, this is at the discretion of Stewards, and if the wiki goes dormant or there is an uptick in unpunished vandalism, Stewards may revoke this opt out in order to combat vandalism.

| ==Global locks and blocks==
| |
| GAs and Stewards have the power to globally block or lock user accounts, IP addresses, and temporary accounts. For GAs, that power should only be used in clear cases, such as cross-wiki disruption that cannot be mitigated by a temporary global block, committed by a non-established user. Policy violations beyond just vandalism, spam, or other clear forms of disruption, should not be locked or blocked for by GAs. This includes violations of the Global Conduct Policy and the Content Policy.
