Any natural person who meets the qualifications established by the Board or the Director of the relevant Staff Team may be appointed as a member of that Staff Team. Qualifications may include experience, expertise, or demonstrated commitment to the Foundation's mission.

Members of a Staff Team are appointed by the Director of that Team, in consultation with the Board. Members of the Operations Team shall be appointed by a vote of 2/3 in favor from at least 5 community members in an election lasting a minimum of 5 days. The Operations Director may remove elected members upon gross misuse of their tools.
Members of the unofficial Community Team, which includes stewards, global sysops, and global patrollers, shall be appointed by a vote of 2/3 in favor from at least 5 community members in an election lasting a minimum of 5 days.

Stewards have the authority to remove the rights of any member of the community team for gross misuse of tools, which is defined as obvious, malicious actions that may also indicate a compromised account. Any situation where a reasonable person would disagree with removal is not subject to this clause. The community may also open a revocation discussion, subject to the above requirements, to remove a member of the Community Team. The WikiOasis Foundation Board of Directors reserves the right to remove a member of the Community Team in the event that their actions violate board policy, their non-disclosure agreement, or other foundation policies.
