I apologize for the trouble. My Discord account was compromised due to clicking on malware.
The cause has been identified, and I initialized my PC about an hour after I realized I was infected. However, I forgot to change my passwords for various services before going to sleep, which resulted in spam DMs being sent out (it seems my account was compromised about 5 hours later).

I have since reset my Discord password and regained access, but due to Discord's suspicious activity detection, my account is currently read-only. Because of lack of need at this time, WikiOasis [[Trust and Safety]] as a team has merged into [[Stewards]]. This means I am the 'Trust and Safety Representative', of sorts, but ultimately a Steward by role. Globe is now just Steward.

To refresh on how the farm is run, it is governed by an Executive Team that includes stewards and sysadmins, who respectively handle community and technology affairs on the farm (though membership can and does overlap). There are other possibilities, for example we have some advisors and are willing to work with people who have decent ideas how to push the farm forward (we could always use some energy), and if you have a wiki project you'd like to host we're open to discussing that as well.

Hello, I am the creator and administrator of superscience.skywiki.org and antimony.wikioasis.org. I have a few questions regarding the upcoming merger between SkyWiki and WikiOasis:

superscience.skywiki.org and antimony.wikioasis.org share the same theme and have nearly identical content, as they were created around the same time. However, since their inception, my users and I have been active exclusively on superscience.skywiki.org. antimony.wikioasis.org has remained inactive and has been used solely for backup and testing purposes.

I would like to clarify how the merger between SkyWiki and WikiOasis will be implemented:

Greetings! I'm a long-time supporter of MediaWiki with strong knowledge of the software in many aspects. I was previously self-managing a wiki hosted on a free virtual cloud server. Unfortunately, a few days ago the wiki completely crashed shortly after upgrading to 1.45 and appears to be largely unrecoverable (I do have a partial backup of the content pages, but all of the configuration has been lost). While I could theoretically start over on the same virtual server, the platform had several restrictions that limited the functionality of the service which could only be overcome by upgrading to a paid service, which I would rather not do. So I'm looking for a new host. Coincidentally, I noticed that SkyWiki appeared to be experiencing a major turnover and was likely looking for new volunteers. I assume that need will continue post-merger especially since one platform will now be hosting essentially double the content.

I already have fairly strong knowledge of PHP and the MediaWiki code, and I am also currently in school to become a network support technician/IT specialist, and have some experience in this area already. So I was wondering perhaps I'd be welcomed onto the sysadmin/steward/staff team in some capacity? I don't currently have the means to be financially responsible for any infrastructure, but if another entity handles the financial aspects I am more than willing to help with the maintenance and upkeep, and also participate in community oversight roles as well. I would also be looking to restart my personal wiki here - the reason I haven't done so yet is because under my previous host I did have full unrestricted access to the entire MW interface, including full user rights access. I didn't have shell access but the host partnered with cPanel and Softaculous to provide a web-based interface for editing <code>LocalSettings.php</code>, installing extensions, etc. It appears that by default, most wiki farms restrict some of the technologically advanced or privacy-sensitive features only to staff members. Thus I would only want to host here if I was also a team member in some form, in order to maintain the same level of access to my own personal site as I previously had, and to avoid essentially having a downgrade in experience. Of course I would be more than willing to properly balance global roles/responsibilities with my personal site. Please let me know if you'd be willing to consider this. Please also note that I will need to decide what to do with my existing virtual cloud server sooner rather than later, as it is technically a violation of the host's ToS to be holding onto an "empty" server that you're not actively doing anything with (seldom enforced, but still).

My site superscience.wikioasis.org was recently migrated from superscience.skywiki.org, but I am encountering two major technical issues:

Namespace Issue: All pages in the custom "超理文献" namespace (ID: 3000) are inaccessible. When trying to open them, it shows "page does not exist." However, they still seem to exist in the database, as I can see their titles listed in Special:LongPages. Because of lack of need at this time, WikiOasis [[Trust and Safety]] as a team has merged into [[Stewards]]. This means I am the 'Trust and Safety Representative', of sorts, but ultimately a Steward by role. Globe is now just Steward.

To refresh on how the farm is run, it is governed by an Executive Team that includes stewards and sysadmins, who respectively handle community and technology affairs on the farm (though membership can and does overlap). There are other possibilities, for example we have some advisors and are willing to work with people who have decent ideas how to push the farm forward (we could always use some energy), and if you have a wiki project you'd like to host we're open to discussing that as well.

Hello, I am the creator and administrator of superscience.skywiki.org and antimony.wikioasis.org. I have a few questions regarding the upcoming merger between SkyWiki and WikiOasis:

superscience.skywiki.org and antimony.wikioasis.org share the same theme and have nearly identical content, as they were created around the same time. However, since their inception, my users and I have been active exclusively on superscience.skywiki.org. antimony.wikioasis.org has remained inactive and has been used solely for backup and testing purposes.

I would like to clarify how the merger between SkyWiki and WikiOasis will be implemented:

# Will skywiki.org retain its independent domain?
# Or will all skywiki.org sites be redirected to wikioasis.org?

Greetings! I'm a long-time supporter of MediaWiki with strong knowledge of the software in many aspects. I was previously self-managing a wiki hosted on a free virtual cloud server. Unfortunately, a few days ago the wiki completely crashed shortly after upgrading to 1.45 and appears to be largely unrecoverable (I do have a partial backup of the content pages, but all of the configuration has been lost). While I could theoretically start over on the same virtual server, the platform had several restrictions that limited the functionality of the service which could only be overcome by upgrading to a paid service, which I would rather not do. So I'm looking for a new host. Coincidentally, I noticed that SkyWiki appeared to be experiencing a major turnover and was likely looking for new volunteers. I assume that need will continue post-merger especially since one platform will now be hosting essentially double the content.

I already have fairly strong knowledge of PHP and the MediaWiki code, and I am also currently in school to become a network support technician/IT specialist, and have some experience in this area already. So I was wondering perhaps I'd be welcomed onto the sysadmin/steward/staff team in some capacity? I don't currently have the means to be financially responsible for any infrastructure, but if another entity handles the financial aspects I am more than willing to help with the maintenance and upkeep, and also participate in community oversight roles as well. I would also be looking to restart my personal wiki here - the reason I haven't done so yet is because under my previous host I did have full unrestricted access to the entire MW interface, including full user rights access. I didn't have shell access but the host partnered with cPanel and Softaculous to provide a web-based interface for editing <code>LocalSettings.php</code>, installing extensions, etc. It appears that by default, most wiki farms restrict some of the technologically advanced or privacy-sensitive features only to staff members. Thus I would only want to host here if I was also a team member in some form, in order to maintain the same level of access to my own personal site as I previously had, and to avoid essentially having a downgrade in experience. Of course I would be more than willing to properly balance global roles/responsibilities with my personal site. Please let me know if you'd be willing to consider this. Please also note that I will need to decide what to do with my existing virtual cloud server sooner rather than later, as it is technically a violation of the host's ToS to be holding onto an "empty" server that you're not actively doing anything with (seldom enforced, but still).

Namespace Issue: All pages in the custom "超理文献" namespace (ID: 3000) are inaccessible. When trying to open them, it shows "page does not exist." However, they still seem to exist in the database, as I can see their titles listed in Special:LongPages. Because of lack of need at this time, WikiOasis [[Trust and Safety]] as a team has merged into [[Stewards]]. This means I am the 'Trust and Safety Representative', of sorts, but ultimately a Steward by role. Globe is now just Steward.

To refresh on how the farm is run, it is governed by an Executive Team that includes stewards and sysadmins, who respectively handle community and technology affairs on the farm (though membership can and does overlap). There are other possibilities, for example we have some advisors and are willing to work with people who have decent ideas how to push the farm forward (we could always use some energy), and if you have a wiki project you'd like to host we're open to discussing that as well.

I noticed that WikiOasis haven’t been updating MediaWiki since mid-2025. The current version of MediaWiki that WikiOasis runs is 1.43.3, but there are a couple of security updates taking it to 1.43.6, and MediaWiki 1.45 was released.

Could WikiOasis update MediaWiki to 1.45 (or 1.43.6) depending on timing?

==Inquiry regarding the merger of SkyWiki and WikiOasis==
Hello, I am the creator and administrator of superscience.skywiki.org and antimony.wikioasis.org. I have a few questions regarding the upcoming merger between SkyWiki and WikiOasis:

superscience.skywiki.org and antimony.wikioasis.org share the same theme and have nearly identical content, as they were created around the same time. However, since their inception, my users and I have been active exclusively on superscience.skywiki.org. antimony.wikioasis.org has remained inactive and has been used solely for backup and testing purposes.

I would like to clarify how the merger between SkyWiki and WikiOasis will be implemented:

# Will skywiki.org retain its independent domain?
# Or will all skywiki.org sites be redirected to wikioasis.org?

If the plan involves redirection, will it be possible to keep both sites? If not, please decommission antimony.wikioasis.org and redirect it to superscience.skywiki.org (which, I assume, would become superscience.wikioasis.org after the merger is complete).

Greetings! I'm a long-time supporter of MediaWiki with strong knowledge of the software in many aspects. I was previously self-managing a wiki hosted on a free virtual cloud server. Unfortunately, a few days ago the wiki completely crashed shortly after upgrading to 1.45 and appears to be largely unrecoverable (I do have a partial backup of the content pages, but all of the configuration has been lost). While I could theoretically start over on the same virtual server, the platform had several restrictions that limited the functionality of the service which could only be overcome by upgrading to a paid service, which I would rather not do. So I'm looking for a new host. Coincidentally, I noticed that SkyWiki appeared to be experiencing a major turnover and was likely looking for new volunteers. I assume that need will continue post-merger especially since one platform will now be hosting essentially double the content.

I already have fairly strong knowledge of PHP and the MediaWiki code, and I am also currently in school to become a network support technician/IT specialist, and have some experience in this area already. So I was wondering perhaps I'd be welcomed onto the sysadmin/steward/staff team in some capacity? I don't currently have the means to be financially responsible for any infrastructure, but if another entity handles the financial aspects I am more than willing to help with the maintenance and upkeep, and also participate in community oversight roles as well. I would also be looking to restart my personal wiki here - the reason I haven't done so yet is because under my previous host I did have full unrestricted access to the entire MW interface, including full user rights access. I didn't have shell access but the host partnered with cPanel and Softaculous to provide a web-based interface for editing <code>LocalSettings.php</code>, installing extensions, etc. It appears that by default, most wiki farms restrict some of the technologically advanced or privacy-sensitive features only to staff members. Thus I would only want to host here if I was also a team member in some form, in order to maintain the same level of access to my own personal site as I previously had, and to avoid essentially having a downgrade in experience. Of course I would be more than willing to properly balance global roles/responsibilities with my personal site. Please let me know if you'd be willing to consider this. Please also note that I will need to decide what to do with my existing virtual cloud server sooner rather than later, as it is technically a violation of the host's ToS to be holding onto an "empty" server that you're not actively doing anything with (seldom enforced, but still).

==Issue with Namespace 3000 and Search Indexing after Migration==

My site superscience.wikioasis.org was recently migrated from superscience.skywiki.org, but I am encountering two major technical issues:

Namespace Issue: All pages in the custom "超理文献" namespace (ID: 3000) are inaccessible. When trying to open them, it shows "page does not exist." However, they still seem to exist in the database, as I can see their titles listed in Special:LongPages.
